We had the privilege of attending the 2nd Uttar Pradesh Healthcare Conclave 2026, held on 18th March 2026 at The Centrum, Lucknow — organized by ETGovernment, an initiative of The Economic Times. Bringing together government officials, healthcare experts, industry innovators, and policy leaders, the conclave served as a powerful platform to shape the future of healthcare delivery across Uttar Pradesh.

The Challenge Is Real — and It's Urgent

Uttar Pradesh, with a population of over 240 million, is India's most populous state — and one of its most underserved when it comes to healthcare access. Despite having numerous medical colleges, the state has a highly dispersed doctor workforce, making equitable healthcare access a persistent challenge. India Data Map Millions of citizens in semi-urban and rural areas still face long wait times, fragmented booking systems, unclear billing, and zero emergency response infrastructure.

At the conclave, one theme echoed across every session: healthcare in UP must move beyond brick-and-mortar limitations. It must become digital, accessible, and — above all — fast.

UP's Digital Health Transformation Is Underway

The good news? Uttar Pradesh is already stepping up. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state has achieved unprecedented milestones — generating over 5.76 crore electronic health records, operationalizing 22,681 Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centres, and leading the nation with 81,615+ registrations in the Health Professional Registry. Uttar Pradesh also leads the country in ABHA registrations with more than 14.3 crore accounts Digital Health News, reflecting a strong push toward building a digitally connected health ecosystem for every citizen.

But infrastructure alone is not enough. Technology must reach the last mile — and that's where platforms like ZeeroBills become critical.
